Young JV, born Eduardo JV A. Kapunan III, is a filipino hip hop and R&B sensation in the Philippine music industry today! Young JV, very raw, very young, and believes in a very in-your-face attitude as far as his music is concerned. He continues to win plaudits for his endeavors not only in his music career but beyond it.
As 2009 draws to a close, he finds himself with another song from his critically and commercially acclaimed debut CD, Ready Or Not, in the charts.
Just weeks after it premiered on MYX, the video for the Young JV song Don’t Know You featuring Heidi Riego now hangs tough inside the Pinoy MYX Countdown, in the company of songs by Ely Buendia, SpongeCola, Sarah Geronimo, Christian Bautista and Hale. The success of Don’t Know You follows in the heels of his first single, That Girl, which also stormed the same charts when it was released a few months ago. The video for Don’t Know You is directed by Treb Monteras III and it shows Young JV in chill-out mood.
His debut album, READY or NOT, released thru PolyEast Records, empowers Young JV to be more than just a soldier’s son (youngest son of retired Col. Red Kapunan Jr. (PAF) and Elsa Arancillo), as he translates these feats into a wonderful musical opus.
