#TastyCrushieTuesday : Thai Hotties

I have been watching lakorn (Thai soap opera/TV series) recently and a number of Thai actors have caught my attention. In today's [Tasty Crushie Tuesday], I listed some of my most favorite Thai hotties. Enjoy!

Nadech "Barry" Kugimiya
(Thai: ณเดชน์ คูกิมิยะ | born 29 October 1995)


Barry is a Thai model and actor of Thai and Austrian descent. At the age of 17, he became a model doing photo shoots and commercials for Trident chewing gum (with Patcharapa Chaichue), Shokubutsu shower cream for Men, Samsung Monte 3G, Nevia For Men, Yamaha Fino, Baoji shoes (with "Khemanit Jamikorn"), Lays (with "Urassaya Sperbund"), Mazda, Minute Maid Pulpy and more. In 2010, he made his feature drama debut in a leading role in the lakorn (soap opera) 'Ngao Ruk Luang Jai' as Nawa Gamtornpuwanat. Thereafter, Barry gained immense popularity after his work in the following lakorn: '4 Huajai Haeng Koon Kao' as Fai Akkanee Adisuan; 'Game Rai Phaai Game Ruk' as Saichon/Charles Makovich. From then on, he was casted in different lakorn such as 'Torranee Nee Krai Krong' (2012), 'Rang Pratana' (2013), 'The Rising Sun: Roy Ruk Hak Liam Tawan' (2014), and an upcoming lakorn titled 'Lom Sorn Ruk'.



Jirayu "Kao" La-ongmanee
(Thai: จิรายุ ละอองมณี |born 29 October 1995)


Kao was discovered at the age of five when hbe was with his mother who was then accompanying a friend's child at a model casting session. He then began acting in several television lakorn, becoming widely noted for his role as Santi, a difficult child, in 2005's 'Fa Krachang Dao'. He was then invited to try for a cinematic role in 'King Naresuan' in which he played the role of young Boonthing. He has since acted in four other feature films and has numerous television, advertising and modelling works. He was casted as the lead in the well-received movie 'SuckSeed'. The movie became a hit that even the songs ['Wi Na Tee Diew Tao Nan' (Just a Second Only) and the acoustic Version of 'Toom Yhu Nai Jai' (Deep in my heart)] used for the film became popular.



Pachara "Peach" Chirathivat
(Thai: พชร จิราธิวัฒน์ |born 5 May 1993)


Peach has starred in three films. In 'SuckSeed', he co-starred as the twins Koong and Kay. In the same year, he became the lead in the movie 'The Billionaire', where he played as the young entrepreneur Itthipat Kulapongvanich. He then played as Jack in the 2012 Thai thriller film titled 'Countdown' written and directed by Nattawut Poonpiriya. The film was selected as the Thai entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 86th Academy Awards. Peach has also been working on a music single with indie music label Smallroom. Currently, he played as Win Charatchaipracha Chaichana in the lakorn 'Hormones the Series' and he reprises his role for the lakorn's on-going second season.



Charlie "Nak" Trairatt
(Thai: ชาลี ไตรรัตน์, |born 19 January 1993)


Nak started as a Thai Child Star in the 1994 movie 'Once Upon a Time' (Kalla khrung nueng... muea chao nee). He was not even 1 year old during that movie. Afterwards, he became well-known in 'Fan Chan' (My Girl), the Thai number 1 Box Office movie in 2003. He also starred in other top Thai flicks like 'The King Maker' (2005), 'Dek hor' (2006), 'Legend of Sudsakorn' (2006), 'Hormones' (2008) and 'Phobia 2' (2009). He is currently known as an actor, a VJ (in Channel V Thailand's Kon Doo Pen Yai) and a model. His last known project is the lakorn 'Rak Mai Mee Wan Tai'.



Chantavit "Ter" Dhanasevi
(Thai: ฉันทวิชช์ ธนะเสวี |born 18 September 1983)


Ter is a Thai model, actor and screen writer. After graduation, Ter began his work as a freelancer doing screen-writing, assistant directing, off-shot cinematographing and acting coach jobs for GTH. He had done several small roles in a lot of GTH films until 2008 when he started to get one of the main roles in "Hormones". Then he did another lead role in horror title, "Coming Soon". He also got credited for screen-writing of 4Bia and Phobia 2 during 2008-2009.

In 2010, Ter became a famous film actor after doing a blockbuster romantic comedy 'Hello Stranger' with Neungthida Sopon, in which he also got credited as co-screenwriter. His role in 'Hello Stranger' earned him a Star Hunter award, as one of the 10 most promising young actors in Asia at Shanghai International Film Festival 2011.

In 2012, he came back with another blockbuster 'ATM: Er Rak Error' along with a new talented actress, Preechaya Pongthananikorn. "ATM" became GTH's highest grossing film ever at that time (later surpassed by Pee Mak in 2013). His role in 'ATM' won him the Best Film Actor award in the Top Awards 2012.

In 2013, Chantavit co-screenwrote the phenomenal record breaking blockbuster 'Pee Mak. By this time, his screen-writing became a hot need for several film producers.
