#TopStoryTuesday : Zac Efron Went to Rehab Twice this Year?!?

Squeaky-clean ‘Disney’ star Zac Efron was battling more than alcohol during a jolt in rehab earlier this year. Gossip website TMZ is reporting the actor had a serious cocaine addiction.

According to reports, Zac Efron went to rehab twice this year: Actor checked into facility in March, again in April after relapse.

Citing unnamed sources, TMZ claims Efron actually completed rehab treatment for “cocaine addiction” roughly five months ago and says he may also dabbled in “Molly,” the street name for a pure and powerful form of ecstasy currently popular among clubgoers.

TMZ also says that Efron’s alleged drug problem went off the rails while he was filming the upcoming comedy feature Neighbors, which co-stars Canadian Seth Rogen.

Efron was said to have been shirking his duties, often missing from set, and it was "common knowledge" that he struggled with substance abuse, a source told the website.

“Sources tell us Zac … was a no-show on a number of days,” TMZ claims, citing a source connected to the movie. “It was common knowledge he was struggling with cocaine,” said the nameless source.

The source continued:

“Zac is really good at keeping it together. He’s a huge control freak and has always been obsessed with keeping his partying on the down low, this getting out is his worst nightmare. He cares so much about keeping his private life private.

“Zac’s young and he likes to party. But it’s pretty standard in this town, everyone dabbles in drugs, it’s just a part of young Hollywood. Most of them just hide it well and Zac is a perfect example of that.”

So far, the rehab story has not been confirmed and Efron’s representatives haven’t been returning messages. Efron’s spokesperson also declined to comment.

Besides ‘Parkland’ and ‘Neighbors’, Efron will also star in the upcoming romantic comedy ‘Are We Officially Dating?’

Despite the setback, Zac was on top form at the Toronto International Film Festival promoting his movie J.F. Kennedy movie Parkland, a very mature movie for what we thought originally was a mature actor.
