Shirtless Sunday Slurpee: Alan Ritchson Pre-Hunger Games Photos

Underwear model turned actor, Alan Ritchson — who plays Gloss, a tribute from District 1 in the film ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ — is clearly trying to move on from his underwear days but he’s not ashamed of his past life.

In fact, Ritchson says it helped him when filming ‘Catching Fire’ in those skin-tight bodysuits.

“For me, I’d walk out in a thong thinking, ‘I’m in costume,’” the actor told E! News.

“It’s like, ‘Hey, I’m ready for the death scene,’ and they’d be like, ‘Uh, we can see part of your crotch.’”

Ritchson — who is also filming another movie ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ reboot — also spoke about how he took modelling jobs to support himself.

“I am going to work as a model, great,” he told The Backlot. “There would be jobs that I take to pay the bills and support me and feed me. There are many times when it was so lean that I could barely eat.”

But he’s still proud of what he did: “The work that I did, I mean, I am not ashamed of. I’m very proud of the work that I did. The work for N2N/International Jock, this is a male lingerie line.

“A lot of people don’t understand that. I mean that’s what I did. I advertised products and I think I did that to the best of my ability.”

I know everyone's going crazy over the Hunger Games movie, but I am giving a special attention to this past-kiddo-now-totally-hottie Josh Hutcherson who played Peeta Mellark in the film. 

Joshua Ryan "Josh" Hutcherson (born October 12, 1992) is an American film and television actor. He began working in the early 2000s, appearing in several minor film and television roles. He gained wider exposure with major roles in the 2005 films Little Manhattan and Zathura, the 2006 comedy RV, the 2007 family adventure film Firehouse Dog, and the film adaptations of Bridge to Terabithia, Journey to the Center of the Earth and Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant. On March 30, 2008, Hutcherson won a Young Artist Award (for Leading Young Actor). Hutcherson was also featured on a Celebrity Teens edition of the hit show MTV Cribs, and portrayed Peeta Mellark in the 2012 filmThe Hunger Games. He will appear in the Red Dawn remake.
