#TastyCrushieTuesday : Chef Jeremy Favia

I was watching this tv show called, "Gellicious," and I saw my old time crushie, Chef Jeremy Favia.

Chef Jeremy Favia was first seen on QTV 11's Ka-Toque, Lutong BArkada, he has since added QTV's Health Cravings (with Iza Calzado) and TV5's Alagang Kapatid to his growing list of TV Projects.

His most recent show is TV 5’s Katok sa Cusina, where he and Tuesday Vargas raid ordinary kitchens and whip up sumptuous dishes using no ingredients other than what that kitchen already has. The show is aired at 10:20 a.m. every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

“There were times when I’d be alone in the house. So when I got hungry, I’d naturally go to the ref. Sometimes there wasn’t anything that was already cooked, so I had to cook my own food,” chef Jeremy said. “I started with simple stuff – hotcakes, hotdogs – easy dishes.”

Today, outside of his TV programs, this chef with that boy-next-door face is also the spokesperson of Chef’s Classics by Sunnex Products Limited Hongkong. “Good cooking is not just about having the best and freshest ingredients. It’s also about using the right cookware,” he added.

For home cooking, chef Jeremy recommends Chef’s Classics’ Violet series. “Good pots and pans don’t have to be expensive, they just have to be good,” he said.

The Violet series combines practicality with functionality and aesthetics. Its light-but-sturdy aluminum body’s cooking surface is lined with high-quality non-stick DuPont Teflon, which not only lets you cook more healthily with less oil but also makes the pans much easier to clean.

#TastyCrushieTuesday : Young JV

One of my Crushies... Young JV...

Young JV, born Eduardo JV A. Kapunan III, is a filipino hip hop and R&B sensation in the Philippine music industry today! Young JV, very raw, very young, and believes in a very in-your-face attitude as far as his music is concerned. He continues to win plaudits for his endeavors not only in his music career but beyond it.

As 2009 draws to a close, he finds himself with another song from his critically and commercially acclaimed debut CD, Ready Or Not, in the charts.

Just weeks after it premiered on MYX, the video for the Young JV song Don’t Know You featuring Heidi Riego now hangs tough inside the Pinoy MYX Countdown, in the company of songs by Ely Buendia, SpongeCola, Sarah Geronimo, Christian Bautista and Hale. The success of Don’t Know You follows in the heels of his first single, That Girl, which also stormed the same charts when it was released a few months ago. The video for Don’t Know You is directed by Treb Monteras III and it shows Young JV in chill-out mood.

His debut album, READY or NOT, released thru PolyEast Records, empowers Young JV to be more than just a soldier’s son (youngest son of retired Col. Red Kapunan Jr. (PAF) and Elsa Arancillo), as he translates these feats into a wonderful musical opus.

“My songs of peace and love are also inspired by stories of people who work hard and succeed even if they have nothing to start with. Really, nothing is impossible if you put your heart into it. So I say, don’t lose hope, just keep on goin’. To the youth of today: let us all work for peace, love and unity in our country and the world.” – Young JV stated.
