One of the works that certainly transformed David Gandy into a worldwide known iconic model is certainly the 2008 calendar, shot by fashion photographer Mariano Vivanco for Italian luxury label Dolce & Gabbana. Portrayed in black & white images, the Essex-born stunner perfectly embodies the ideal Dolce & Gabbana’s man, thanks to his chiseled body, killer gaze and magnetic charisma. Wearing only Dolce & Gabbana’s underwear styles, David is captured lounging in bed, having a shower or simply delivering an infectious smile to the camera, defining a new way to interpret male models, compared to the standards of the moment.
